Hi all my name is Nick and I was in the Marine Corps, I did two tours in Iraq, and after my service time was up I decided to go back home and do the collage thing, well that did not work out, cause while I was in my barracks room, I was invited to go out and have a few drinks, well it was a set up in the making. My friends hooked me up with another freind of theres named Kellie. Things went well and I moved in with her, fastforward 3 years and we are in the present. I discoverd my love for Great Danes It all came about when I was living in Kellie's house and I wanted a dog as a companion, because I have always had dogs growing up and now that I was starting a new chapter in my life it was only fitting that I get a dog to share my new family and new chapter in my life as well. I did my homework and I ended up getting my first Dane two years ago, Her name was Isis, she was awsome!! I got her out of Rock Rapids Iowa. She was my little protector, although I use the term little lite hardedly. At 110 lbs and standing at 33 inches she was no small female, but she was my little girl.. She was taken from me way to soon, and when she passed away there was a big void in my heart and I was lost without her. Kellie suggested that I get another, but I still thought I would be betraying her. After a week I was getting more and more down and Kellie finally told me to look, and thats when I saw Zeus! When I saw him I just knew that he was the one! Well its been a really awsome 8 months and Zeus goes where I go! He is my bud and my best friend! Although I am having loads of fun with Zeus I still hold a very special place in my heart for Isis.. When I am not working I am spending time with my wounderful lady Kellie and of course Zeus is with us when every we go to the river! When I am not with Kellie, well thats when you will find Zeus and I out and about just doing are thing weather it be at the river rompin in the water or going for walks in the neighborhood or at PetSmart, we are togeather all the time.. LIFE IS GOOD AS LONG AS YOU HAVE YOUR DANES!! Just to update, this a little, Kellie is not as wonderful as I thought, and we went are seperate ways. Honestly it was for the best, and Hey, when one door closes, another opens, and after being on my own for 3months, and finially getting the courage to ask a girl out for a very long time she said yes, and we have been togeather ever since. Her name is Lisa, and she is above and beyond what I want in a lady.. So far so good. And my saying still holds true. LIFE IS GOOD AS LONG AS YOU HAVE YOUR DANES!! Ok all well I had a real crapy thing happen to me at work, and all I can say is I will never trust a supervisor again.. Long story short I was told to put some time on my time card for going out to a test site, and the test was cancelled. I put the time on the card, and the supervisor that told me to do it did not have the authority to do so, and to save his behind, he said he told me not to put the time down, and as a result despite my excellent record I was fired for cheating the company out of money.. it was a crappy deal. And of course it happend when I got my own little place, and I have my truck payment to make and so I got a job at the local walmart, and I was not making enough to keep the house and the truck and I did not want to put Lisa, and I under all the stess of keeping Zeus seperated from her dogs again, and so I thought it best to move back home, and take care of my bills and then I will move back to yuma, and I will still have my truck payment but I will not have all the bills I have now, and I got a pay raise at the walmart here which I will retain when I move back to yuma.. Lisa has been very good about the whole deal and we love each other very much and thats what matters most.. is that we stand behind each other and support each other.. And of course I have my two Danes and that is also very important to me. So I am now residing in Rupert, Idaho where I grew up.. Its not how I wanted to move back home, but at least I am making the most of it and I have a job.. And I do not think I could do it with out the love of my Great Danes who always lay at my side and cuddle up with me when I get down.. Life is good as long as you have your DANES!!!
